Infection Control Relicensing Course for New York State Professionals (GOER-InfCtrl)

Only Available Online

All New York State Employees

This online program allows New York State-licensed health professionals to fulfill the requirement for mandatory infection control and barrier precautions training as specified by Chapter 786 of the Laws of 1992.

In August 1992, legislation established a requirement that certain healthcare professionals licensed in New York State receive training on infection control and barrier precautions by July 1994 and every four years thereafter unless otherwise exempted. The statute applies to these professionals – dentists, licensed practical nurses, optometrists, physicians, physician assistants, podiatrists, registered nurses, specialist assistants, medical students, medical residents, and physician assistant students.

This course meets the requirement of this statute.
