Training and development programs enhance on-the-job skills and competence of the state workforce. Some programs and services are available to all state employees while others are available only to employees represented by a particular union.

• Civil Service Employee Association, Inc., Local 1000, AFSCME, AFL-CIO (CSEA)
  The NYS & CSEA Partnership for Education and Training offers education and training programs for CSEA represented employees.

• Public Employees Federation, AFL-CIO (PEF)
  Training programs for PEF-represented employees.

• NYS Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association, Inc. (NYSCOPBA)
  NYS/SSU Labor-Management Committees offers tuition reimbursement and grant programs for NYSCOPBA represented employees.

• United University Professions (UUP)
  NYS/UUP Joint Labor-Management Committees offers education and training grants to state university employees.

• NYS and Graduate Student Employees Union Professional Development Awards Program (GSEU)
  The Professional Development Awards Program offers funding assistance for professional development projects or activities for GSNU employees represented by GSEU.

  Training programs for M/C employees.

• SLMS
  Using GOER's learning management system, state employees register for classes, online courses, and track training history.

• Agency Services
  Curriculum, grants, and organization development resources to support state agency supervisors, managers, leaders, and training professionals.
