Security Services Unit (SSU) — 01 and 21
Represented by NYS Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association, Inc. (NYSCOPBA), the Security Services Unit is comprised of state security and institution safety personnel. Arbitration eligible titles (SSU-01) include correction officer, correction officer trainee, correction sergeant, community correctional center assistant, and institution safety officer. Non-arbitration eligible titles (SSU-21) within the unit for salary and benefit purposes include security hospital treatment assistant, safety and security officer, security services assistant, security officer, and campus public safety officer as well as other titles. Interest arbitration for 2007-2009 is ongoing.
