Dear Dr. Scheuerman: This will confirm our mutual understanding reached during discussions on Article 22, Travel Allowances and Relocation Expenses, in the 1991-95 State/UUP Agreement with respect to the concept of a centralized travel management system. Within the overall context of Article 22, UUP acknowledges that the State retains the right to establish a centralized reservation system for employee lodging and transportation arrangements, and to designate specific lodging facilities and transportation modes for locations within and outside of New York State.
